StayGoldenSwerve: The Hometown Hero

East coast rapper and creative StayGoldenSwerve is putting on for his city in a major way. Having recently landed a feature on Sprite’s official SpriteWay playlist, he is at the top of his career! But one thing that is for certain is that his hometown of Harrisburg, PA, is the foundation of music creativity.

I had the pleasure of catching up with Swerve for a quick interview as he discusses Sprite, his “Golden” single, and being a hometown hero. Check it out below.

StayGoldenSwerve Interview

Stardom: Recently you were featured on the SpriteWay playlist, what has that
experience been like?

Swerve: The experience has been amazing! I’m so grateful to have a opportunity like this. Sprite is doing amazing things by connecting with underground artist and giving them a opportunity to help speak to the world.

Stardom: What was the inspiration behind your Golden record?

Swerve: I lost my grandfather and it felt like I was going through a long storm and through the storm I started to feel alone. I started finding myself and learning how to love myself.

Stardom: What does it mean to be hometown hero?

Swerve: Being a hometown hero is a interesting feeling. It is an amazing feeling to motivate people in your community and inspire them to know no matter if you are walking in the dark, walk with faith you could do anything in life. As long as you put your mind to it.

Stardom: With hip hop celebrating 46 years, define what hip hop means to you?

Swerve: Hip Hop means so much to me because it gave me a platform to speak up and show my family and friends if you believe in yourself, anything can happen.

Stardom: What are you currently working on?

Swerve: I’m working on some visuals & perfecting my craft.
