Bhad Bhabie Announces $1.7M ‘Bhad Scholarship’ Award For Entrepreneurship And Trade School Education

“I know that there’s a lot of kids out there that really want to get real jobs and want to work hard, but they just don’t have the money to provide it,”Bhad Bhabie said.

Danielle Bregoli, aka Bhad Bhabie, has partnered with Educapital Foundation to create the “Bhad Scholarship” Award. The $1.7 million scholarship will help 1,000 students enroll in technical and trade schools nationwide.

Bhad Bhabie and Educapital Foundation will give those awarded the Bhad Scholarship the opportunity to pursue trades, ranging from cosmetology, cybersecurity and cannabis growing.

“I know that there’s a lot of kids out there that really want to get real jobs and want to work hard, but they just don’t have the money to provide it,” she tells Yahoo Life. “I thought it was an amazing idea.”

Each recipient will have $1,000 for their education, and 50 graduates will receive $10,000 in startup capital to help launch their businesses post-graduation.

Bhad Bhabie will choose scholarship recipients, and the hand-picked graduates will receive full-ride scholarships from a $200,000 fund.

“We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with Bhad Bhabie that allows us to continue our mission to eliminate poverty through trade school education,” Dr. Brenita Mitchell, Founder of Educapital Foundation, said in a news release about the scholarship.

“I have seen firsthand the role education plays in opening doors to building wealth and creating successful career opportunities. By removing financial barriers, the ‘Bhad Scholarship’ will help students spend more time focusing on their studies and help them achieve their lifelong dreams,” she added.

Bhad Bhabie’s passion for cosmetology is what piques her interest in trade schools. She explained that she could see herself pursuing a career as a nail technician or owning her nail salon.

“I want to get into owning more businesses,” she explains. “I want to own a nail salon. I want to hopefully end up having it become a franchise and putting them in multiple different areas,” she said.

Educapital Foundation provides an opportunity for financially needy postsecondary students nationwide, regardless of race or religion.

The Dr. Phil Show introduced us to Bhad Bhabie in 2016 when her mother asked the show for advice and tactics to rear Bregoli from her delinquency. The episode featuring Bregoli gained viral coverage after her “catch me outside” phrase became widely popular on social media catchphrase.

Since her viral moment, Bhad Bhabie has used her internet fame platform as a way to catapult her music and business ventures. In 2017, she became the youngest female rapper to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.
