POSITION: A/V DIGITAL TECHNICIAN 

Stardom Media produces live events and activations across the world. In light of the recent Coronavirus pandemic, Stardom Media is leading the way in helping its clients and partners produce interactive live streaming events including panels, webcast, pay per view events, exclusive performances, virtual shows, interviews and product launches. Sometimes totally remotely. The role requires strong technical understanding and practical experience operating multiple systems, social media apps and streaming platforms, with extensive experience in A/V and technical direction.

To help assist with these programs, Stardom Media is currently looking for a A/V Digital Technician with a deep understanding of live streaming platforms and live streamed summits, conferences and broadcast simultaneously . We need someone to help produce world class live streaming events, with the experience to guide us on the right technical and live stream platforms solutions.

The right candidate will have experience producing and directing live streamed conferences with multiple tracks, and procuring online platforms that may include JW Player, ustream or Livestream to deliver on objectives around audience experience. They will also have a solid grounding in technical production, with the ability to manage productions entirely remotely and deal with several remote contributors.

This is a local or remote position reporting to a team based in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities:
•Review requests and provide technical direction for the planning and execution of the live stream for an event or broadcast including instances where everyone is remote.
•Apply knowledge of industry trends and developments to add value to our live streams.
•Assist in developing relationships with 3rd party streaming platform vendors and managing the vendor through the duration of a project.
•Be able to step in and out of various rolls for events based off of need.
•Keep Event Ops Management well informed of status of event support efforts and serve as liaison between vendors and clients.
•Take on and further develop the live streaming workflow for the live event life cycle.
•Communicates and enforces streaming standards, helping to create and define new standards as technology and scope evolves.
•Assist with managing technical resources within budget and client support schedule
•Consistently deliver high-quality, high impact services to clients
•Assist with the development of programming; recognize ideas with high potential for compelling content that will drive engagement
•Remotely support production teams and contributors to produce public live streams.

Ability to work outside regular business hours to produce meetings in different time zones or in the evenings when needed

Skills:

  • A strong knowledge of content streaming platforms, including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Instagram Live, Facebook Live, Twitter Live, Youtube Live, Tik Tok Live, Linkedin Live, ClubHouse App, Periscope etc.
  • •Demonstrable portfolio of live streaming work

•Understanding of current trends in live streaming
•Knowledge of studio, field production, and streaming technology
•Understanding of IP networks
•Experience with live video encoding hardware
•Understanding of video codecs
•Ability to work in a quick turnaround, fast-paced, lean environment
•Solid understanding of live video delivery systems

Education:
•Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent job experience.
