OWN Expands Iyanla Vanzant’s TV Return with Two New Specials
The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) has officially ordered two new primetime specials featuring acclaimed spiritual life coach and Emmy-winner Iyanla Vanzant, following the breakout success of her recent series Iyanla: The Inside Fix. The announcement comes after the show’s strong audience engagement and top cable ratings among African-American women on Saturday nights, leading OWN to expand her programming slate.
Iyanla: The Inside Fix marked Vanzant’s television return after years away from the small screen, reimagining and revisiting powerful moments of healing and transformation originally featured on her earlier series Iyanla: Fix My Life. The freshly ordered specials will continue her mission of helping individuals navigate life’s toughest challenges — capturing unscripted moments of emotional breakthroughs and real-world growth.
A Continued Legacy of Healing and Transformation
Iyanla Vanzant has built a long-lasting television legacy rooted in personal empowerment and emotional reconnection. Her original OWN series Fix My Life debuted in 2012 and became one of the network’s most impactful programs, helping families and individuals heal from deep-seated challenges. Her newer series The Inside Fix has continued that tradition, leading to this expanded commitment from OWN.
Production on the two new specials is expected to begin soon, with Vanzant set to sit down with people facing crisis in front of a live studio audience — offering guidance, candid conversations, and transformative moments that resonate with viewers seeking both entertainment and personal insight.
