We recently had the opportunity to check-in with Arnold J. – here’s our One-on-One exclusive…
SM- Tell us about what you’re currently promoting?
I have a song “Highway to Nowhere”, coming out on August 15th,2025. That’s what I am currently promoting.
SM- What continues to be the motivational factor for you?
My art for me has always been a spiritual process that comes deep from the soul. And so making authentic music that comes from within, and having it then radiate outwardly to resonate with people will always be a motivation.
SM- What was the most challenging thing you had to overcome to get to where you are now?
The biggest challenge was the fact that I did not have any musical background as a kid. My family is not musical and most of the songs I was hearing back from where I grew up were songs that do not sound like the kind of songs I write. It took many years of experimenting and stumbling upon music I naturally gravitated towards, to craft my artistry and eventually find my sound. And this transformational period also involved teaching myself how to play guitar and harmonica, and fiddling with songwriting techniques to better translate the ideas in my mind into lyrics.
SM- What values are important to you when it comes to building your business?
Authenticity is a big one for me. I strive to just be myself, whether I’m writing songs, or recording music, or promoting my stuff. Collaboration with my team is also a big thing for me.
SM- Was there anyone in your circle that contributed to making this campaign a success?
Well, my producer Adam has been great to work with. Most of my great stuff out there is because of our great collaboration. My manager Dianna Liner has also been very helpful in getting me press coverage and handling the release of “Highway to Nowhere”. I am truly grateful for my team.
SM- What can people expect from you next?
I’ve written so many songs that have not been released yet, and I keep writing more. So people can expect to hear more and more songs from me. I think I was born for this, and I can’t see myself not doing music, so I guess I am here to stay lol.
SM- What is one final thought that you want to leave with our readers?
I’d like to encourage people to be the change they want to see in the world. Hopefully, we are all aiming for great positive things to happen in this world. Music and stuff like that can help bring people’s attention to things, but ultimately people are responsible for change.
